"Singles EP"

"Singles" is the second EP release by Vegan Llamas, comprised of the three singles released between 2018 and 2019. There is an evident difference in style compared to their first release "Weak At The Knees". With these singles, the band explored writing in genres that include ballads, orchestration, and progressive material.

"Better In The Nightmare," originally released in summer of 2019, represents the next step in the evolution of Vegan Llamas' style of rock. With its intermittent odd time signatures and hook-worthy riffs, this song maintains an accessibility to a general rock audience with its catchy rhythms and melodies.

"Treehouse," released in the summer of 2018, introduced an entirely new element to the Llamas repertoire. With a dynamic that rises from gentle introductions to all out epic string arrangements over soaring guitar solos and with lyrics that expose the more heartfelt side of their writing style, this song showcases just how varied Vegan Llamas' style can be.

"Red Rivers" closes out the EP by delivering an introspective social commentary. Written in the wake of the mass shooting in Las Vegas in 2017, this song examines questions of goodness surrounding both ourselves as a people and the God who seems so absent in those times, but ultimately ends with the conclusion that both God and goodness can be found in tragedies like these.

The Singles EP sets Vegan Llamas up for the next phase in their musical development with the introduction of so many new elements. Future projects promise to continue in this development and continue to evolve even further.
